Accessible CMS

Lately we have being doing some work to make EditBureau suitable for maintaining accessible websites in accordance with WCAG specifications, and we can now offer this as a feature, which ensures WCAG compliant output, and also gives the user access to a tool for WCAG compliance checking (lists any items on the current page which need to be made accessible).

Accessible web design is something that I was aware of in the United States as being significant, through hearing about section 508 in design tools etc, but its really starting to become very important and gain interest here in Europe, and there seems to be quite a lack of tools such as compliant CMS's for the job.

So we are pleased to be able to offer a WCAG compliant CMS at this stage and over the coming months, we hope to add more and more options to EditBureau regarding accessibility features, and output options, so watch this space!

WhiteLabel CMS

Changes changes changes....

We have changed the structure of our partner/reseller program for EditBureau. In response to feedback from our existing resellers, we are now offering a white label version of the system to resellers.

The white label version allows a reseller such as a web-designer or hosting company to offer a CMS (content management system) under their own brand - EditBureau can be fully re-branded to the resellers colours, logo, system name, domain name, etc. We think this should be popular with web designers, especially those who don't have the time or skills to develop their own web-administration tool. And ofcourse, anyone using the white-label EditBureau gets all the usual benefits of an enterprise class webpage editor with CSS support, online photo editor, 100% cross platform, and a reliable backend infrastructure (since we run the system from our redundant server cluster).

Partners also get access to a web-based control panel, where they can manage their accounts, create trial accounts, manage features, branding, billing, all in one place. The control panel really empowers the partner, especially since they can now add content management to website in seconds (literally), because EditBureau isn't installed on the users website - it runs as a central web service. So there's no hassle with integrations, installations, and all the usual fun that goes with that!

We even have an option for ISPs to resell onwards to their resellers - branded control panel + branded system.

So theres the spiel. But you say... So what? Whats the big deal? How on earth is this different?

Well its all about how EditBureau works see. Its not installed. Ever.
This means that having a control panel + branded CMS = powerful business tool.

Designers can take ownership and offer a CMS as an option. It can be plugged in at the very last moment of a website design project without any hassle - its like an on-demand CMS; you need content management? Well here it is...!

Also, since there's no setup or anything, it removes so much hassle and heartache; its just there when you need it. No setup fees, technical integrations, need for programmers.

And ofcourse ofcourse ofcourse.... there is money to be made; our price is low enough to allow significant markup.

Its just plain and simple.... Dead easy.
